Adapted from internationally acclaimed author Zulfu Livaneli's novel, BLISS is an unconventional road movie in which the executioner of an honor killing and his victim go on a journey of self-discovery.

When 17-year-old Meryem (Ozgu Namal) is found disheveled and unconscious by the side of a lake, her family believes the worst - that her chastity has been lost and that she has been a willing accomplice in its disposal. They turn to the ancient principle of "tore," a strict moral code governing the rules of sexual practice, which condemns Meryem to death. The duty of defending the family's honor is given to distant cousin Cemal (Murat Han), who must take Meryem to Istanbul and kill her along the way.

The two begin to fall for each other and their journey takes an unexpected turn when they meet Irfan (Talat Bulut), an academic escaping his big city angst, who is also looking for a second chance in life. True or false: Men marry for sex, women marry for financial security?

Seems like it to me. If a man isn't pleased sexually in his marriage or isn't getting any sex, he'll get it from someone else, and willing to destroy his own marriage for sex.

And look how many married couples divorce for financial reasons.

I'm sure many people will say "they get married because they love each other", but 50% of the time, money and sex are more important than love, thus ending in a 50% divorce rate in this country.

why do I have such great sex with my otherwise boring boyfriend? can this relationship work?

i've always had bad sex in exciting relationships. Now I'm having great sex in a dull relationship. I value the sex so much that I don't want to end it. But things are SOOO dull outside of the bedroom. We don't have much in common like background, hobbies or friends. He is rea;lly quiet and isn't spontaneous or interesting. He really cares about my pleasure in bed however, can I make this work?

Unless you're going to spend all of your time having sex, I don't see how it can work. I'm wondering how he became your boyfriend if he's so boring and you have nothing in common. Seems you would have dumped him before you became intimate.

Why are parents of one sex more emotionally attached to children of the opposite sex?

This probably won't come as a surprise to many, but I am sure you have noticed that many parents get more emotionally attached or attracted to their opposite sexed children. (Think mother-son relationships and father-daughter relationships. Or momma's boys and daddy's girls, if you want.)
Why does this happen? I am curios.
Sorry. What I meant by "emotionally attached" was supposed to be in a non-sexual connotation.

It doesn't happen. (Well, it does happen, but not more than attachment to children of their own sex). Parents are emotionally attached to their children, period.

No, the fact you know five people to whom it applies doesn't make something statistically valid.
